The natural character of the plant scheme underneath the trees and shrubs has been heightened by the planting of thousands of spring bulbs, which are allowed to naturalise.

The aim of the Special Bulb Valley was to show the various combinations of spring and summer bulbs with perennials. Combinations that sometimes resulted in contrasts, whereas other times the colours, forms and shapes blended together.
